This month’s seminar will be hosted by a local expert on disruptive energy technologies: Mr Dave Porreca. Is there a good replacement for carbon based fuels? Is wind and solar really sufficient to meet the energy demands of modern society? Are centralized systems that can cause massive power outages like the one experienced in San Diego last fall sustainable over the coming decades?How would a shift from oil change our national security priorities? These and other questions will be addressed through the course of the evening.
